Wow! I just had my first session of the Vigil and I can tell you now this is going to be some powerful and profound weekend!
From the moment I started until I stopped I felt like I was lit up. I used my prayer shawl that I was given in Figueria, just because I had forgotten to lay one out last night and it was on the top in the drawer.
I am so glad I did. I felt like I was back on the hill in the Prayer house. Time lost all meaning; I could have been sitting there all day.
I used soft music – Buddha Nature – and Basil oil. I put a drop in the palm of my hand, and occasionally cupped my hand over my nose and inhaled deeply.
After a few minutes of regular prayer ‘putting what I wanted out there’ I began doing distance Reiki.
Something came to mind that Lizanne had put on an email last week. Pray with out ceasing. That kept going through my mind, over and over, pray without ceasing, pray without ceasing.
I started used the prayer I use on my prayer list. I know you all know this one.
Heavenly Father, Mother God.
I ask for healing energy be directed to Sonny and Sylvia Gurley.
Please take them in your arms and hold them to your loving breast
Fill them with your loving healing light and energy.
We ask for Right Action in all things.
Amen.
It felt like I wanted to get the names out on the ethers more powerfully so I started saying the first two lines like a mantra.
At some point I opened my eyes and right in front of me on the wall is this tapestry I received from the Oblate Mission in San Antonio. It is a beautiful picture of Mary holding her rosary. She was all aglow and I had the impression of her hands moving on her prayer beads! I really feel like we have some helping hands with this. I am going to try to
put one of the pictures on here.
