Yes, you did. I don’t think I have ever really had a system. Except one. There was a time when if I had something packed up in a box for a year, I could get rid of it without ever looking inside.
Now I have to look! The things I have trouble parting with now are not nostalgic, or antiques or even things I might need someday like extra dishes.
I have trouble getting rid of books and research papers. Even though I have saved everything on disks and memory sticks.
After I have used something for a while I am usually very willing to give it to someone who expresses a desire for it. Its like I have enjoyed it so I will pass it on to someone else.
I think that is one of my favorite things about winter coming to an end, even though I enjoy it more than most people. I learned years ago the value of spring and fall house cleaning. It is much more difficult for me to accomplish this now since I am older and my house is hard to manage. But the benefits far surpass the trouble and hassel of getting it cleaned up and cleared out.
In your head you know this is when something has to go so you do it, its just time.

Comment from Angie: Feng Shui tip

Posted by roseredd on March 4, 2008

  1. Angie Says:
  2. I’ve been in the “clearing” space process for at least the last 4 years. Not just from past personal relationships, but just “stuff” in general. It’s so easy to pile up this and that. Of course, we think some things are important at the time and then realize that it’s really just a space taker upper. We can all live with so much less than what we have and what we accumulate. My general conditions for item trashing are: 1) do I love it? 2) do I use it? & 3) would I miss it if I never saw it again? Obviously some things may take a lot longer to get rid of than others, but my inspiration comes from the feeling of freedom from “things”. I don’t even realize they are weighing me down or keeping me in a constant state of chaos as I’m trying to work through and around clutter.
Talk about long-winded. This really hit home for me. Hope I stayed on target:)

Feng Shui tip for Tuesday March 4th from Astrology.com

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Tuesday, March 4

Yes, Spring is right around the corner and that means that Summer can’t be far behind. It’s time to start to shed the sweaters and think about wearing less clothes in the coming weeks and months. If that idea brings a lump to your throat — one that holds a fun-size Snickers in it — then it’s time to start thinking about shedding some pounds as well. Feng Shui says that eating off a black plate will not only quell your appetite but will cause you to consciously think about everything you’re putting in your mouth. Sweet!

The Hands of President Hillary Clinton

Posted by roseredd on March 4, 2008

The Hands of President Hillary Clinton           This morning when I went upstairs for my prayer time I had an experience I would like to share with the rest of you. It is probably a little long and detailed but I need to write it all down anyway.          I started my prayer with my prayer shawl and basil and sandalwood oil and my ‘background music’ playing very softly.  I went from prayer to meditation and was in a very, very deep state when I realized that I was visualizing Hillary walking up the steps to the White House and going inside to the Oval Office.

She sat down at the desk like all those pictures we have seen of other presidents and I realized that she had been elected. She was our new president.  I could see her aura completely around her body very large and brilliant and clear.                    Then I noticed that all around her and above her were angels! Lots and lots of angels swirling in the background. There was a beautiful sound of laughter and music! They were so happy and excited! Then all at the same time they bent down and put their hands on her head. They were giving her their blessing.                   Then they bent forward and picked up her hands and held her hands in theirs. Its like the whole world was in her hands and they were protecting her and blessing her hands so she could do good work.                   Then I kept seeing the image of her hands in my mind.  Hands held in prayer.Hands that stroked a child.

Hands that shook hands with world leaders.

Hands that opened the door to the other party.  Hands that pledged allegiance to the flag.       Hands that made a fist of power and strength.    Hands that saluted our soldiers.       Hands that are gentle and compassionate.

And there were other images. Even if for some reason the powers that be decide this is not the right time for her to be president this image will remain in my mind always. I think she has had a major impact on all of us, that has changed our thinking and our concept of how things have always been. Lela

LizAnne, I really love that Feng shui tip. That is something all of us should think about regularly, as our lives are always changing. Of course, it is very important when we lose a partner or friend, but it also happens for me even if the weather changes!
I can remember times when my kids were in their teens and I would be so upset or worried about something that was happening–like waiting up half the night for one of them to come home–one thing that always got me through was to get up and move things around. Like put the dishes away and clear up the kitchen. Very theraputic, and I guarantee I would start throwing things out, anything that was in my way or was clutter, went in the trash can. It was like ‘getting my space and my life under control’
In dream analysis our home represents our basic self. The larger picture is, this is one thing we can fix. I think it is so important that we should not overlook it. You can heal things in your own self and your daily life by making these adjustments in your living space.
Hey, I am allowed to get windy here!

I guess it’s time to clean up my space. A good time to pack away old memories is when I move to the farm. It will be hard to put away the things I really like, but I think I can deal with VERY PERSONAL things

Prayer Vigil Day for Hillary!!

Posted by roseredd on March 4, 2008

Good Morning everyone, I hope all of you are up and at your prayer vigil stations this morning. Following is the last paragraph of today’s Cosmic Calendar, so it looks like the energy from the skies is working in our favor.
“This is amplified by a major alignment this evening when Mercury merges its influence with Chiron in Aquarius.  Tonight’s union of these two celestial bodies is their final convergence for almost precisely a year. Not only does this liaison enhance spirited and lively communications, but the entire field of holistic healing is strengthened. Soul-searching, meditation and metaphysical studies are highlighted.

Get set for a terrific morning on Wednesday although another long void lunar cycle is waiting in the wings as well.”

     Go Hillary!!!
