Feng Shui tip of the day – February 24th from Astrology.com

Posted by roseredd on February 24, 2008

Here is your Daily Feng Shui Tip for Sunday, February 24

Whatever you do, don’t keep old mementos and love letters, stuffed animals and jewelry from past relationships all over any part or place of your living space. If the partner is gone, so should be any and all shreds of evidence that they were ever even there in the first place. Clear out the old and then get ready for the new!

Pray Without Ceasing

Posted by roseredd on February 16, 2008

Wow! I just had my first session of the Vigil and I can tell you now this is going to be some powerful and profound weekend!

From the moment I started until I stopped I felt like I was lit up. I used my prayer shawl that I was given in Figueria, just because I had forgotten to lay one out last night and it was on the top in the drawer.

I am so glad I did. I felt like I was back on the hill in the Prayer house. Time lost all meaning; I could have been sitting there all day.

I used soft music – Buddha Nature – and Basil oil. I put a drop in the palm of my hand, and occasionally cupped my hand over my nose and inhaled deeply.

After a few minutes of regular prayer ‘putting what I wanted out there’ I began doing distance Reiki.

Something came to mind that Lizanne had put on an email last week. Pray with out ceasing. That kept going through my mind, over and over, pray without ceasing, pray without ceasing.

I started used the prayer I use on my prayer list. I know you all know this one.

Heavenly Father, Mother God.

I ask for healing energy be directed to Sonny and Sylvia Gurley.

Please take them in your arms and hold them to your loving breast

Fill them with your loving healing light and energy.

We ask for Right Action in all things.

                                                                               Amen.

It felt like I wanted to get the names out on the ethers more powerfully so I started saying the first two lines like a mantra.

At some point I opened my eyes and right in front of me on the wall is this tapestry I received from the Oblate Mission in San Antonio. It is a beautiful picture of Mary holding her rosary. She was all aglow and I had the impression of her hands moving on her prayer beads! I really feel like we have some helping hands with this.  I am going to try to

put one of the pictures on here.

Blessings to you all,

leela

What is a Prayer Vigil?

Posted by roseredd on February 14, 2008

Prayer Vigils

Several people have commented today that they have never done a prayer vigil. Well, boy have you missed out. Not only is it a wonderful thing to do for someone you love, or someone who is in need of powerful healing prayers, it is one of the most wonderful things you can do for yourself.

There is nothing quite like the honor of participating in this and being swept up in the emotion and positive energy of this meaningful process. Two times I have seen prayer vigils first hand and participated once. This is not counting the ones we have done from our own home.

But when many are joined together it has a different effect, a different energy. It seems to take on a life of its own.

The first one I was on site for and participated in was at the Village several years ago. It was for healing for someone who had been diagnosed with cancer.  People signed up for two hour sessions spent seated in prayer or meditation in a corner of the sanctuary, even during church services. When no service was going on, I noticed several sat up front near the large crystal in the center of the floor. When your two hours was up someone was there to take your place.

The second was and is a spectacular vigil that is held at the monastery, Figueria, in Brazil. I can’t remember exactly how it was housed, but I do remember that it was a large ‘building’ on top of a hill, and it seems it was made from bamboo with a thatch roof. I can remember how it felt but not the details of how it was made. You never forget the sound of the wind blowing through bamboo.

This prayer vigil has been going on for several years. Every two hours one volunteer group replaces another. Twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. It is large enough for a quite a few people, as groups come from all over the world to the monastery and all participate.  But often, I am sure there are just one or two. No one would want to miss this experience. If you ever get to Figueria, be sure to volunteer.  If buildings can have an aura, I am sure this one does.

Group Information

Posted by roseredd on February 14, 2008

Good morning everyone, for all of you who are not aware, Sylvia has been diagnosed with Cushings Syndrome, which is a disease of the adrenal glands, which sit on top off your kidneys. This is a very complicated disorder and she needs our immediate help.

this condition has been complicated by a chronic case of Shingles–which may be the reason she has developed the Cushings, which is often caused from inflammatory steroid use (cortizone) –(and I know many of you use this medication, so heads up).
Also at this time Sylvia’s husband Sonny, who has been receiving treatment all year for lung cancer is recently out of the hospital, but bedridden and very weak.
Please place this family on your prayer list and shortly following this email will be a request for a Prayer Vigil for all who can participate. I will send the information and a sample chart, Just put your name wherever you feel you can commit – lets all work on this together – this is a very powerful work and I have seen it work miracles.
I am going to put this process in place in our group and we are going to use this for all who need our prayers.
Dana and Laura, would you ask your prayer group to pray for this family? Sonny and Sylvia Gurley.

Prayer Vigil Notice

Prayer Vigil

Please join with me in a prayer vigil for Sylvia and Sonny Gurley. As all of you know by now, Sylvia has been diagnosed with Cushings Syndrome and is in need of some good healing energy. I would ask all of you to join me this weekend for a two day Prayer Vigil.

One simple way to do this is for each one to choose a time slot – Example: 9AM and 9PM. Ideally everyone would have a different time slot but since each of us will be working alone in our own home, it doesn’t matter if we overlap.

I think it is more important for each of us to do this and find a time frame that works for us. Commit yourself to whatever amount of time you think you can manage and just do it.

If it’s an hour each time or five minutes, do whatever you commit too.

Daily Feng Shui Tip from Astrology.com

Daily Feng Shui Tip from Astrology.com
Most of us, when thinking about stamping our feet, also think about having a little tiny tantrum, with loud whining and crying to go along with. But what if I were to tell you that every once in a great while, it’s a really great thing to get your stomp on? That’s right! According to ancient Eastern medicine the bottoms of our feet hold a critical key to meridians that circulate vital life force throughout our bodies. If you want to activate acupressure points on the bottom of each foot while driving healthy and happy Chi though from toe to head, then take off your shoes, put a smile on your face and stamp each foot on the floor 27 times. Believe me, once you do this a few times each week, you will begin to know how very good for the ’sole’ this exercise truly is!

Feng Shui Tip for Monday, February 11

If you want your love to bloom and grow then go ahead and plant some pictures, photos or symbols of magnolias anywhere inside the place you call home. The beautiful blossoms not only symbolize a long and happy marriage but will make sure that your relationship is rooted and grounded and ready to grow towards that same objective!

Spiritual Death?

Posted by roseredd on February 11, 2008

As most of you know, I am a distributor of Young Living Essential Oils and recently received an email from my team leader Linda Smith that she forwarded to all on her email list. She often sends us information that she has received from other leaders.
There is a lot of information in this email and I had planned to forward it intact. But it turns out to be about 6 pages long so I decided to try to paraphrase it for you.
This note is about the dangers of prescription drugs and how it was prophesized in the Bible by John, in the book of Revelation. I am sure these are not all of the numbers that are available, as it looks like this study was done in 1995, but it is bad enough.
In a nutshell it says our ‘food supply is useless and completely without nutrients which our bodies and minds are starving for.’           And this is the reason for not only physical disease and disorders but mental and emotional diseases also. Suicidal and homicidal tendencies among others, as well as all addictions, such as sugar, nicotine, caffeine  and other drugs, that we take to ‘jumpstart’ ourselves regularly to just get through the day.
As dangerous and devastating as this information is, what really caught my attention was something I have been suspicious of for quite some time. Just from the research I had done while working on my thesis I learned that people who took sleeping or pain pills were unable to dream and had great difficulty meditating. These were two things I was trying to teach others to do!
And it seemed nothing we tried worked. I felt that some level of sleep—the level that allowed one to access a higher consciousness—was being blocked with this medication. Following is the information about this from Linda’s letter.
                               SEROTONIN’S CONNECTION TO GOD
One extremely critical point for all Christians to understand is the serotonin connection to spirituality. These drugs work by increasing levels of the neurotransmitter serotonin. But 50% of the serotonin is metabolized by the pineal gland. What is the pineal gland? It is the master gland of the body known as the “seat of the soul” or our connection to higher, spiritual thoughts. In Eastern religions it is known as the Third Eye and is located right in the center of the brain. The question we need to ask is that if the Pineal gland is overloaded with large amounts of serotonin produced by these drugs, does it interfere with that spiritual connection? According to patients using these drugs it does! They continually report that they can no longer feel God.
One perfect example that comes to mind is that of Elizabeth Bush, the 14-year-old girl who shot her best friend at the private Catholic school they attended. Elizabeth’s hero in life was Mother Theresa. Elizabeth planned to devote her life to God and become a nun. So how did she go from that point to a charge of attempted murder almost overnight? I called her attorney when this happened and told him what happened was likely the result of the use of one of these antidepressants. He did not show much interest, but said he would check. Then the following week Elizabeth was interviewed on 20/20 where she made the statement that she could “no longer feel God anymore..”
So, as dangerous and life threatening as these drugs can be, even worse is the possibility that we can be severed from the spiritual by these drugs. Not only can they produce physical death, but also spiritual death?
Of course the reason this was sent out by Young Living was because they feel there are better ways to heal ourselves and one of them is with the essential oils. I feel there are many great alternative health therapies. But they don’t seem to have a great effect if our bodies and minds are completely saturated with chemicals and toxins.
So just some food for thought. I know it is easier said than done to eliminate all chemicals from our lives, but we just need to do our best. If anyone wants the email complete and intact I will gladly forward it to you,

Comment – Much ado about Fresh Air

‘Much ado About Fresh air’ it did bring tears to my old eyes, it took me back to times when Papa, brother Jay and I were night fishing in the Red River, and also Cash creek.

Papa did the fishing, Brother and I would be laying on the soft green grass beside Papa naturally, he never let us out of his sight thank goodness. We’d lay on our backs, arms under our head, the night sky and beautiful sparkling stars, there is just no describing the things and how I felt at that young age.

I can still feel the cool breeze blowing on my face, hear the old Red river going on to where ever it goes. I feel that I can under stand where and what you are saying my Lela, please do keep this wonderful work you are doing coming to us.
Love, Mom, Annie

Hats off to Papa, for turning it into an adventure for you two. I think thats the way we should look at everything in life. Another lesson learned. More pictures for our mental scrapbook. It really is up to us which ones we put in that scrapbook.

First Sunday of Lent

Posted by roseredd on February 10, 2008

Once again we find ourselves at the first Sunday of Lenten season. Lent is the forty days leading up to Easter Sunday and is a time of conversion when we think again about who we have become and who and what we want to become.

It began last Wednesday, known as Ash Wednesday, where traditionally one is marked on the forehead with the symbol of a cross and we are encouraged to follow traditional disciplines of prayer, meditation, fasting or some other way of showing our devotion. In many churches the palms from the previous year’s Palm Sunday ceremony is burned to make the ashes for Ash Wednesday. The ashes are to be retained on the forehead until after sundown.

 The First Sunday in Lent

On the First Sunday of Lent there is sometimes a service devoted to the teaching of Self-examination. Often it is difficult to look upon ourselves with truth and understanding. It is much easier to see the faults of others and what they need to do to make those corrections than it is to see our own.

That’s why it is such a good idea to have an understanding of the importance of Lent season and using this time of self examination in a productive and positive way. Once again there is a special time set aside for us to do the important inner work that we need to do.

The lent season is meant to be a time of mental and physical ‘fasting.’ This is the time of year when traditionally medieval and/or native persons were experiencing a dwindling of the winter food stores and were forced to cut back and eat less. This became the natural period of time for self-examination, by way of rest and introspection, pondering and meditating in whatever way was appropriate in that era. Vision quests were commonly undertaken at this time.

This is a time to work on overcoming our weaknesses, rather than a time to mourn over our past errors—a time to die to the old ways of thinking and prepare for the new growth and life of spring.

Ultimately one experiences a loss of self-importance and discovers the true self. A self who has reincarnated, not just to indulge all the physical desires and ‘things’ that seem so important on a daily basis, but for reasons that probably have more to do with the advancement of humanity and not just one human being.  Remember we are divine sparks of God. I certainly hope my soul has loftier ideals that I should strive to accomplish.

Do you really think your soul incarnated into your body, just to see how much weight you could lose, or what kind of car you can buy, or if you get to go on vacation? At what point does one come to grips with why we are truly here on this planet? Forget about yourself and stop this ‘why me Lord’ way of thinking. Someone once asked, ‘why not me? What makes me any better than anyone else?

Souls WANT to reincarnate. Why then, when this happens, does our ego – personality become so obsessed with material things, the soul is unable to do the good work it came back to do?           Perhaps for some of us the difference is that somewhere inside us we DO know the difference, many people do not. There is so much we can do for others, find your true path. Just look around you, I bet there is someone who needs you. And think what a blessing this truly is, not the burden most of us have created in our minds.

So remember, the key to the work you will do for Lent is basically to try to lose one’s self-importance, and get a true picture of your Soul. (When we lose our self-importance, all the things that push our buttons no longer affect us.) Hopefully you will voluntarily give yourself over to a symbolic death. The death of one way of thinking and acting and the birth of a new one.  We lose our life in order to gain it.

Feng Shui tip for Sunday February 10th by Astrology.com

Posted by roseredd on February 10, 2008

Feng Shui Tip for Sunday, February 10 from Astrology.com        Today is my birthday but I’m going to turn things around and give you a gift. This is called ’sending wish bubbles to the sky’ and can be given to anyone who wants to see their loved ones have their hopes, wishes and dreams come true. Simply blow nine bubbles, making a wish for each, out in a park on a windy day. Those bubbles will take those wishes to the ’sky dragons’ where they will swallow them and then bring forth the fruition of those dreams before the next birthday rolls around. Up, up and away!

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Saturday, February 9

Make sure that the bed you sleep in is never positioned underneath and overhead beam, especially one that ‘comes between,’ or symbolically separates, you and your partner. If you do have such an overhang on your bedroom ceiling, negate any negative effects by simply hanging a round and faceted crystal on nine or 18 inches of red string from the beam and bring clear energies to your sweet romance. If hanging a crystal in your bedroom isn’t exactly your cup of tea then simply sip on this. Place any clear quartz crystal on the beam, where it won’t or can’t be seen and still reap the relationship rewards.

Much Ado about Fresh Air

Posted by roseredd on February 5, 2008

Much Ado about Fresh Air

If I could wish for just one thing for each of you it would be that you have access to a bedroom with a window you could open at night above your head while you sleep.

Last night was the first night we had been able to sleep with our window open this winter. I slept like a baby with the night breezes blowing over my face and head. I woke up invigorated and ready to face the day.

The sensation is one of cleansing the cobwebs and stale thoughts and feelings from our mind and soul. Just as we use the wheatgrass juice to detox our bodies and purify our cells, just good old night breezes does the same thing by supplying fresh oxygen to our lungs and ultimately every cell of our being.

I woke up at five and laid in bed until six – just in a wonderful – pain free – stress free – dream world.   The wind blowing through the trees outside the window with that wonderful soothing sound like moving water. In fact I thought I was hearing the water running in the creek down the hill! So crystalline was the sound and feeling.

Just as we ‘air’ out rooms in the spring to ‘clean and clear’ the air, so to can we clean out the mustiness and staleness of our mind and soul very easily.

So at least go out on the front porch and take two or three deep breaths of air – drink it in like a big glass of water.  Lela

Feng Shui tip for tuesday February 5th from Astrology.com

Posted by roseredd on February 5, 2008

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Tuesday, February 5                From Astrology.com

Are you looking for love in all the right places? Including your very own bedroom? If you are intent on finding the perfect partner and mate, then it is critically important that you represent that same wish and desire in the space that you will both eventually be sleeping in. Remove all reminders from old and over relationships from this environment and replace with symbols that show your commitment to finding your true love. Remember that whatever you see first thing upon awakening each day influences the energies that come your way, so, why not put a picture of a loving couple along your line of sight? That way, we can be sure that the next potential partner you meet will only have eyes for you!

Feng Shui Tip for Monday Feb. 4th from Astrology.com

Posted by roseredd on February 4, 2008

Daily Feng Shui Tip for Monday, February 4

The Celtic celebration of Candlemas that began on the 2nd of this month begins to draw to a close. This is considered one of the four major fire festivals as the celebration itself signals to the people that spring is just around the corner, and soon the Sun will return to it’s rightful place high in the sky while helping to bring fertility back to the land. This particular festival focuses on the fire that will ensure a bountiful and beautiful harvest in the months and months to come. In order for you to ensure same, on this day, light three green candles in the ‘family/friends/ancestors’ arena and allow them to burn completely out. This effort will help to make sure that your own energies never do.
